2022國(guó)際數(shù)學(xué)聯(lián)盟算盤(pán)獎(jiǎng)（IMU Abacus Medal）授予普林斯頓大學(xué)以色列數(shù)學(xué)家 Mark Braverman, 表彰他開(kāi)創(chuàng)性的研究發(fā)展了信息復(fù)雜性理論，為利用信息理論推理通信協(xié)議搭建框架。他的工作使得直和定理（direct-sum theorems）為攤銷(xiāo)通信、巧妙的協(xié)議壓縮方法和新的抗噪聲交互式通信協(xié)議提供了下界。

For his path-breaking research developing the theory of information complexity, a framework for using information theory to reason about communication protocols.
